Fishing

Bisham Parish Council manages fishing rights on the Slipway, located between Bisham Church and Bisham School. Fishing rights are reserved for residents of the parish. See below for information regarding obtaining a licence.

Guidelines

  • Fishing on the Slipway is restricted to Bisham Parish Council permit holders.
  • Permits must be used in conjunction with a valid Environment Agency Rod License
  • Fishing will be by rod and line only
  • Do not remove fish, catch and release only
  • Fishing is only permitted on the Slipway, and not on the adjacent properties
  • No fishing shall take place between dusk and dawn.
  • Non-toxic weights and barbless hooks only to be used.
  • No fish weighing over 907 grams (2lbs) to be kept in keepnets.
  • No children under 12 years old are to fish without an accompanying adult.
  • No open fires
  • No camping
  • Permit holders must not use or discard lead weights and will remove all property, tackle (in particular fishing line) and litter to leave their location in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Permit holders will not introduce any species of fish, animal or plant whatsoever or clear any vegetation from the area
  • Bisham Parish Council as manager of the fishing rights, accept no liability for any injury/damage to personal property unless due to their negligence

Obtaining a Permit

Fishing permits for the Slipway are reserved for residents of Bisham Parish. In order to obtain a permit, please complete this form, and send to clerk@bishamparishcouncil.org.uk along with a copy of:

  • Rod Licence
  • Utility Bill/Proof of Residence
